Terms of Service

Effective: October 2026•Version 4.0 (Lifestyle & Utility Hub)•Republic of Ghana

Notice to Subscribers and Platform Users

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before purchasing, activating, or connecting to the Starlork high-speed satellite Wi-Fi network or using any Starlork Lifestyle & Campus Hub features (including All-Network Airtime & Data Bundles, ECG/GWCL/TV Bill Payments, Global Gift Cards, MTN AFA Registration, Campus Printing & Claude AI Academic Studio, Self-Serve Ads, and Borrow Now). By accessing our network or completing a transaction, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.

1. Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “Subscriber”, or “You”) and Marsix Technologies (“Starlork”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operating under the trade name Starlork in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Republic of Ghana.

By connecting your device to any Starlork Wi-Fi hotspot or Access Point, purchasing an internet voucher or digital lifestyle product, logging into the Starlork Captive Portal or Dashboard, or using our API services, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have parental/guardian consent) and accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must disconnect from the network and discontinue use immediately.

2. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

To maintain network integrity, low latency, and safety for everyone sharing our high-capacity satellite network, strict adherence to our Acceptable Use Policy is mandatory. Any violation will result in immediate, non-refundable termination of service and permanent MAC address / hardware blacklisting.

You agree NOT to use the Starlork network or digital services for any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Copyright Infringement & Illegal Torrenting: Uploading, downloading, streaming, or distributing pirated software, copyrighted media, unauthorized torrents, or intellectual property without explicit authorization.
  • Network Attacks & Malicious Activity: Engaging in hacking, port scanning, packet sniffing, Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, brute-force cracking, malware distribution, or attempting to compromise any router, server, or client device on the network.
  • Bandwidth Reselling & Unauthorized Hotspotting: Splitting, re-broadcasting, bridging, or reselling your internet connection to third parties through external routers, tethered hardware, or unauthorized subnet proxies without a signed commercial agreement.
  • MAC Address Spoofing & Identity Fraud: Spoofing, altering, or cloning Media Access Control (MAC) addresses to impersonate other users, bypass session quotas, or hijack active vouchers.
  • Cryptocurrency Mining & Server Hosting: Running distributed cryptocurrency mining nodes, public file-sharing servers, or high-bandwidth enterprise services on standard student or residential passes.
  • Illegal & Harmful Content: Generating, transmitting, or accessing content that promotes violent extremism, illegal narcotics, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), cyberbullying, money laundering, or fraud.

3. Vouchers, Passes & Continuous Countdown Mechanism

Starlork operates campus Wi-Fi connectivity through time-based and data-capped internet vouchers (such as Orbit Flash, Solar Day Pass, Galaxy Pulse, and Cosmic Residence).

Continuous Countdown Policy

All time-based internet passes operate on an uninterrupted continuous countdown mechanism starting from the exact second of initial voucher activation or PIN redemption.

For example: If you activate a 24-hour pass at 2:00 PM on Monday, the pass expires at 2:00 PM on Tuesday. The countdown timer runs continuously in real-time regardless of whether your device is actively connected, turned off, sleeping, or out of Wi-Fi range. Passes cannot be paused, suspended, or rolled over.

Once a voucher has been redeemed or activated, the sale is final. Users may utilize our self-service Voucher Recovery Portal or the floating Starlork AI Concierge using their payment reference.

4. Multi-Device Allocation & Hardware Binding

Unless explicitly designated as a multi-device plan at checkout, each standard Starlork pass is authorized for a single active device at any given time.

  • Device Authorization: Upon PIN redemption or portal sign-in, your device’s physical MAC address is bound to your active session on our gateway routers.
  • Device Transfer: Subscribers who switch devices may transfer their active pass by logging into their Starlork Dashboard and releasing the prior device under Account Settings.
  • Simultaneous Connections: Connecting multiple devices simultaneously using a single-device voucher PIN is strictly prohibited and will cause the system to terminate conflicting sessions.

5. Borrow Now Passes (Micro-Advance Facility)

Starlork provides an automated micro-advance facility (“Borrow Now”) enabling qualified, long-standing subscribers to obtain an emergency internet pass when their data balance is exhausted and immediate funds are unavailable.

Qualification Criteria

Borrowing privileges are strictly merit-based and evaluated algorithmically. To qualify, a subscriber must have an active registered account for a minimum of 75 days (2.5 months), a documented history of at least 20 completed pass purchases, and zero outstanding default balances.

Contractual Repayment Obligation & Settlement

When you request a Borrow Now pass, the cost of that pass is instantly debited to your account ledger as an outstanding balance. On your next top-up or checkout, the unsettled balance must be repaid in full before standard purchasing privileges are restored.

6. Domestic Telecom & Utility Bill Payments

Starlork partners with Financial Technologies Limited (operating the Marsix payment and collection platform) under a formal B2B Service Level Agreement to facilitate domestic airtime top-ups, mobile data bundles (MTN, Telecel, AT), electricity tokens and postpaid bills (ECG), water bills (GWCL), and pay-TV subscriptions (DStv, GOtv, StarTimes).

  • Customer Account & Meter Accuracy: You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of the recipient phone number, ECG meter number (prepaid or postpaid), GWCL account number, or DStv/GOtv/StarTimes smartcard/IUC number prior to confirming payment. Once Starlork dispatches airtime, data bundles, or utility tokens to a valid identifier you entered, the transaction is irreversible and non-refundable.
  • Tiered ECG Convenience Fee Disclosure: To cover instant smart-meter token dispatch and payment gateway processing costs, ECG electricity purchases include a transparent student convenience fee disclosed prior to checkout (8% for GHS 1–30; 5% for GHS 31–100; 4% for GHS 101–300; and 3% for GHS 301+).
  • Asynchronous Settlement & Reversals: While most telecom and utility transactions complete within seconds, upstream utility grids (such as ECG or GWCL) may occasionally experience scheduled maintenance or asynchronous callback delays. If an order fails definitively at the utility provider level, Starlork will automatically credit or refund your payment upon receiving a verified failure webhook from Starlork.

7. Global Gift Cards & Cross-Border Digital Goods (Corporate Terms)

International gift cards, gaming pins, streaming vouchers, and cross-border digital top-ups offered in the Starlork Lifestyle Hub are fulfilled via Inc. in accordance with Global Giftcards’s Corporate Terms & Conditions.

  • All Digital Code Sales Are Final: Because digital gift card PINs and redemption codes are immediately viewable and redeemable upon issuance, all gift card and digital voucher purchases are final, non-returnable, and non-refundable once dispatched to your screen, SMS, or email.
  • Regional Store Compatibility: Many gift cards (e.g., Apple App Store, PlayStation Network, Steam, Amazon, Netflix) are region-locked to the country/currency specified on the product card (e.g., US Store USD, UK Store GBP). You are responsible for selecting the correct regional store matching your account before purchase.
  • Dynamic Foreign Exchange Conversion: USD and international denominations are converted to Ghana Cedis (GHS) at Starlork’s live platform exchange rate plus a disclosed processing margin shown on Step 3 of the checkout screen prior to payment.
  • Brand Trademarks & Issuer Terms: Gift card brand names and logos remain the property of their respective issuers and are subject to the issuer’s redemption terms.

8. MTN AFA Registration Terms

  • MTN AFA (“Agent For All”) Community Registration: When submitting an MTN AFA registration (GHS 18.00), you warrant that your Full Name, MTN Phone Number, Date of Birth, and Ghana Card Number (GHA-XXXXXXXXX-X) are authentic and belong to you. Final provisioning of AFA call/bundle privileges on the MTN network is processed via our wholesale partner (afaregistration.com) and typically completes within 24–48 hours of submission.
